in the last weekFriendly staff, wide variety of smoked fish,Salmon sushi rolls & Caviar. their lobster Salad is perfectly mixed with large chunks of lobster meat. The cheapest bagel on the Upper East Side.Moderate prices. Visiting here is a must when on the East side.Simply Delicious & they have 10% construction workers discount with New York always under construction why miss this. breakfast under $5 ,lunch under $15 with hot soup 🏃♂️ to this place run.

3 months agoAbsolutely my favorite deli on the upper east side. The service is always exceptional. The salmon and smoked fish are always top quality. So many low quality and inconsistent spots in the neighborhood. This location consistently delivers.

7 months ago$1.75 for a bagel is great. Although bread was kinda hard (1pm weekday). I took it home and made my own egg/cheese for under $2. I’ll be back to try the fish. Coffee was okay. Bodega style

2 weeks agoThere is a sign on the door telling customers that they have switched bagels from H&H. The new bagels from Jumbo Bagels are too chewy, lack taste, paste like, almost inedible. They ruined my enjoyment of cream cheese and Scotch salmon that I have enjoyed from Sable's since they opened on 2nd Avenue. What a terrible choice. There was noting wrong with the bagels from H&H in my opinion. I made the journey from Washington Heights to enjoy what was the best bagel in town. What a terrible experience today. Go back to offering H&H bagels or a product that matches the quality I have come to expect from Sable's.

a year agoThe fish here is definitely off the hook and their well-deserved claim to fame. Just the range of smoked salmon they have is incredible. We had a salmon - I honestly forget which one - and the white fish. And that fish took me to heaven - so flavorful. What brought me back to earth were the bagels, which were a bit off and lacking the chewiness of a great NYC bagel. But at its heart, this is a smoked fish place and that’s what I’m going to focus on here. Without a doubt, the place to come to pick up some smoked fish for home. Hoping though that it was just an off day on the bagels - because with a great bagel, they have a match made in heaven.
