2 years agoDelicious!!! Randomly picked up a jar of rustic marinara at union square because we’d been out all day and had no plan for dinner. Sauce was perfect to make a quick and easy pasta at home. Not too salty like some jarred sauces can be and really nicely balanced with herbs for flavor. Definitely will come back to try the other flavors!!

3 years agoDelicious! Can't get enough. Our favorites are Spicy Calabrian, Rustic Marinara, Ugly Salsa Verde, Salsa Verde, and 'nduja. Their stuff is a staple in our household. We've been buying from them for years. I never post reviews, but I was compelled to write something because they are so wonderful. Excellent customer service from this small family-run company. So friendly and sweet. We also order by mail from them, and the packaging has always kept our sauces safe and sound. As an acute care nurse with a very busy schedule, they make my meal planning super easy.

4 years agoUsed to buy cheap tomatoes sauces at the supermarket thinking all tasted the same until I tried my now favorite, the "Spicy Ugly Sauce" for almost 4 years. Very convenient to order online as my orders had arrived always on time or even earlier. I miss going to Union Square to personally pick my stash as every visit the City Saucery team shares recipes, tips and secrets to cook a great Italian meal. I recommended the sauces to my cousin in Miami and she told me she loves them too and the shipping had been great. By the way, last time at Union Square I got the "Tomato Nduja" for free as I returned 10 jars and they give you $1 discount for each, now it is a must with my scrambled eggs at breakfast. Also venezuelan tequeños with Tomato Nduja it's to die for. Remember to register to their email list, you'll get plenty of recipes for their products, i went with their help from being somebody who burn water to a pretty decent italian cook.

3 years agoWe have been buying City Saucery sauces for over five years, since we first discovered them at the Union Square Green Market in New York City. We consistently purchase the Ugly Tomato sauce, San Marzano Tomato sauce, Tomato Ndjua,, Tomato Salsa and from time to time, their specialty sauces (leafy greens, eggplant, sweet onion...) We live in Connecticut now, but City Saucery is great about shipping and only one time have we received a damaged package, at the fault of the freight company, which was immediately replaced by City Saucery, no questions asked. My husband will drive to the Green Market tomorrow and will be bringing 67! empty jars of City Saucery sauces with him because the company not only values a quality product, but they value the environment and offer a jar recycling discount. We average 60+ jars every four months, and have honestly never had a bad jar!!! After communicating with Michael and Jorge over the years, we know they handle every legitimate customer with care and respect, as they do with their products. Keep up the good work Michael, Jorge and Nonna!

4 years agoFrom a NYC born Italian American: these products are the real deal. Just read the ingredients and the descriptions. They put their heart and soul along with authentic Italian tradition in everything they make. Products actually sell out so that tells you something. My very finicky family members gave everything we’ve had a huge thumbs up. That says a lot! Anyone who has issue should have their taste buds checked. All these negative reviews due to a possible broken seal on a jar of salsa? Hmm seems like a weak effort of sabotage. Keep up the great work guys and looking forward to my next order. Ciao!
