Calabria Pork Store is a destination for all meat lovers. Classic Italian-style dried meats in the heart of Arthur Avenue, The Real Little Italy of New York.
I was here yesterday and was happy to see that nothing has changed in the last 7 years! Friendly and efficient customer service with the absolute best, artisanal/old-world quality products available at exceptionally reasonable prices... especially for the effort, authenticity and care that goes into the creation of their cured meats. Thank you for continuing this tradition and I look forward to visiting again when I'm back NYC.
Calabria Pork Store is awesome! They've got cuts of pork you won't find in any supermarket!
Coming here harkens back to the days when you went to the bakery for break, pork store for sopressata/salame, butcher for meat, coffee store for coffee beans, pasta store for fresh pasta, and so on.
Like many of the small market stores, it is sometimes hectic and crazy. It is part of its charm… or just CIRCLE BACK. Have an espresso and take a break across the street at Morrone’s Caffe.
In the end, you’ll get QUALITY meat here.
Got my capocollo order today, very dissatisfied. The website says it’s sold by piece, 1.5 to 1.75 LBS. The one I got was less than 1.3 LBS. The package has air inside and the meat itself was not cold (it was delivered in an envelope) and looks wet, I’m not even sure if it’s safe to it. Doesn’t have a list of ingredients either.
I loved everything about this place. Top notch service and phenomenal selection of meats and cheeses. Pork chandelier was something to stare at as I’ve never seen anything like it before. Surprised it’s not more popular but definitely a place to check out while in Bronx Little Italy
